HUMAIN and Qualcomm Partner to Launch World’s First Edge-to-Cloud Hybrid AI in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is set to become a global leader in artificial intelligence following a groundbreaking partnership between HUMAIN and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. The two companies have announced plans to deploy the world’s first edge-to-cloud hybrid AI infrastructure in the Kingdom.

The initiative, revealed ahead of the 9th Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference, marks a major milestone in Saudi Arabia’s efforts to build a world-class AI ecosystem that can compete on the global stage.

HUMAIN and Qualcomm aim to provide AI inference services that are faster, smarter, and more efficient than anything currently available, positioning Saudi Arabia as a center of AI excellence.

Under the new program, HUMAIN plans to deploy 200 megawatts of Qualcomm AI200 and AI250 rack solutions starting in 2026. This infrastructure will support large-scale AI inference operations across industries and government sectors.

The collaboration seeks to offer high-performance AI capabilities at industry-leading total cost of ownership, making AI adoption more affordable for enterprises and public institutions.

By combining HUMAIN’s regional infrastructure expertise with Qualcomm’s leadership in semiconductor and AI technologies, the two firms aim to build a model that other nations can replicate.

The partnership was first hinted at during the US–Saudi Investment Forum in May 2025 and has now evolved into a full-fledged plan for implementation.

Tareq Amin, Chief Executive Officer of HUMAIN, said the partnership will redefine the AI landscape in the Middle East. “With Qualcomm’s world-class AI infrastructure, we are creating the foundation for the Kingdom’s AI-powered future,” he said.

Amin emphasized that the collaboration will allow Saudi Arabia to unlock new opportunities across key industries such as energy, finance, healthcare, logistics, and education.

Cristiano Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm, said the project aligns with the company’s mission to enable global digital transformation through intelligent computing.

“By establishing advanced AI data centers powered by Qualcomm’s inference solutions, we are helping the Kingdom accelerate its AI ambitions,” Amon said. “Together with HUMAIN, we are laying the groundwork for AI-driven innovation that empowers businesses and communities.”

The two companies will integrate HUMAIN’s Saudi-developed ALLaM models with Qualcomm’s advanced AI platforms to deliver real-world solutions across sectors.

This integration will allow customers to deploy tailored AI systems optimized for their specific needs, ensuring efficient performance and cost-effectiveness.

HUMAIN’s infrastructure expertise will play a key role in building AI-ready data centers capable of handling complex workloads with minimal latency.

Qualcomm’s AI200 and AI250 rack solutions will bring advanced computing power and memory capacity to Saudi data centers, enabling the rapid processing of large AI models.

The project is expected to transform how AI is deployed across Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East, paving the way for scalable, secure, and sustainable AI systems.

Industry analysts believe the collaboration could accelerate the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals by enhancing technological self-sufficiency and creating new opportunities for innovation.

The initiative also reinforces Saudi Arabia’s ambition to diversify its economy beyond oil by investing heavily in high-tech infrastructure.

Both companies highlighted that their collaboration would not only serve Saudi Arabia but also provide AI inference services to clients worldwide.

The deployment of hybrid AI systems will enable businesses to process data locally while leveraging the scalability of cloud computing.

Experts say this edge-to-cloud approach will ensure better data privacy, faster response times, and improved energy efficiency.

The partnership will also focus on training and developing local AI talent, ensuring the sustainability of Saudi Arabia’s growing digital economy.

According to HUMAIN, this initiative represents a major step toward making the Kingdom a global innovation hub capable of exporting AI solutions to other regions.

The collaboration is expected to attract further investment in AI, semiconductor manufacturing, and cloud computing in the Gulf region.

As the 2026 rollout approaches, HUMAIN and Qualcomm are positioning Saudi Arabia at the forefront of the next wave of artificial intelligence evolution, promising to redefine how AI powers global industries.
